Build Application

I have problems with the application builder.I've created an
application but it doesn't generate an .exe, it looks like a file
without any extension.
There is no problem with the llb, I have build applications before.
I have installed LabView 5.0.1f1 with Windows Millenium. There is some
problem with compatibility?
Thanks !

hi there, I have tried simulating your problem. It seems like you have obmitted the extension .exe when giving it an application name.

See attached.

PS: I am not sure if there's any compatibility issues. I have simulated this in LV6i on Win2K

When you build an application you tell labview what to name it. You
probably forgot the .exe on the end. Just rename the file with a .exe on
the end and try running it. While I'm on the subject, if you copy the name
from the llb or vi be very careful to never forget to change the extension
or you may overwrite y

What are you naming the application?

If you call it "application" you will get a file without an extension.

Call it "application.exe"

try putting the .exe extension on the file and it should default to the
LabVIEW icon. Assuming you did not use a custom icon of course.

Also assuming you have the LabVIEW run-time engine installed also.
