Hi. I tried to work with the Bluetooth VIs that were available in LabVIEW 7.1. I am using a DELL Inspiron model 6400 which comes with a Bluetooth adapter of Broadcomm. When I started the Simple Bluetooth Server VI with the Client open it gives me a error message saying that the : - "Error 58 occurred at Bluetooth Create Listener in Simple Bluetooth Server.vi. Possible Reasons: LabVIEW: The network function is not supported by the system. " Wat sud I do? Please help! Thnx. Gokul.
I checked the list of the Bluetooth Devices supported by Windowx XP SP2 but the device on my laptop is not present in the list. Mine is a Dell 355 Bluetooth Module USB type. I checked the Device ID but that too didnt match. So is there a way out? Is there any way by which I can access the Bluetooth Communication feature of LabVIEW. I just need to communicate to and fro between only one device from my laptop.
I have a Bluetooth Dongle too. How should I go about using it with LabVIEW? Please provide a solution for using the Bluetooth Adapter which is in built in my laptop.
In looking at some of the documentation, it appears that the driver required for using Bluetooth with LabVIEW is very specific. You need to have the Microsoft Bluetooth driver - not the driver that comes with the Bluetooth device. Also try lowing your security settings, or removing them.
