Biometrics Optical Reader Fingerprint

Just beginning to research potential to build application for biometric pattern recognition of fingerprint using optical reader.  No joy with current search for existing work.  Anyone out there know of existing apps I could adapt?

Kindly,

Sean

It looks like we have quite a few threads on fingerprint identification. Just by doing a quick search I found a number of threads that talk about different ways to attack this problem.

Biometrics can help you in your daily lives by giving you ultimate security and hassle free life from memorizing password and carrying keys with you all the time. Nowadays there are biometric software and biometric scanners available in various companies. It can also be applied to secure your personal computer. Well so far I have found out that fingerprint is used in POS where it used a card to identify members before and now just by scanning your fingerprint it eliminated the used for cards. Now the latest biometric technology -

Hope this helps!! Cheers Smiley Happy

Many companies have now made biometrics compulsory for various time and attendance purposes eliminating forgery. With fingerprint devices are on the run, an all new biometric technology, the M2-FV(TM) Finger Vein Reader (http://www.m2sys.com/finger-vein-reader.htm) from an award-winning research and development company called M2SYS Technology (http://www.m2sys.com). sometimes fingerprints are unable to read the prints with a quick scan resulting it to be time consuming and a waste of energy. But this finger vein reader can scan your veins immediately with no trouble at all. Since your veins are inside your body, there are no ways to forge it resulting in a safe and secure environment.
