I just tried a quick experiment and I was able to communicate both ways without problems. What specific problems are you having?

Thanks very much Brian! I wish i had your technical expertise because i'm having no succeass with these two vi's and i've tried every thing i can think of to get them working, putting them in sub vi's on diffrent threads and in while loops and using global variables all with no success. Can you help please?.....One thing it may be is that we are using one machine on windows 98 and one on windows 2000 pro?

Have you tried the examples (simple data server, simple data client)?
Tell the client the Server-IP, and give the server another data source
than sinus or random.

Greetings!
Helmut
