Automatically applying passwords when building source distribution

Solved!
Go to solution
I would like to apply a password to all files in a LabView 8.2.1 source distribution.  In the Source Distribution Properties, I have selected 'Apply new password' for the Dependencies, but when I do the build passwords are not applied.  So, what am I missing?

hi there

sorry, i can't confirm this with LV 8.20 XPSP2 (Password has been applied to all VIs after doing the build).

Please check for

- make sure to apply the password to ALL VIs and the dependencies at "Build Spec."->"Properties"->"Source File settings"
- The locked VIs are saved in the builds directory and NOT at the original location. The original VIs remain unlocked
- If a single VI is unlocked all other VIs from the build are unlocked too, so you don't need to supply the password for each VI

Best regards
chris

- I think I do have the password applied to all VIs and the dependencies.

- I am expecting the password protected VIs to be in the build directory and not the original location.

- I checked the protection property of the VIs in the build directory.  Only My top level VI is password protected.  None of the dependencies VIs are protected.

Thanks,

Andy
