Asynchronous sound input

I'm trying to import sound data into Labview, while running other processes in the background. Unfortunately there is no asynchronous SI read in the tools pallete. Is there anyway to do this, as is the case with Asynchronous Analog Input VIs that can be found on the NI site.

Sorry, I just realized that SI read does dot use CPU resources as with AI read.vi my problem was coming from elsewhere. It's all good now...
