Hi jdwyer3,

I am not very familiar with the the MX component but as you mentioned, people have been able to use it with LabVIEW.

For your reference, here is an article describing where one would be able to find drivers to communicate with third-party PLCs:

Where can I Find Drivers for Communicating to PLCs, RTUs, and Other Industrial Hardware?

It appears that the following two Mitsubishi products are supported:

Mitsubishi A-Series (serial communications modules)
Mitsubishi FX (FX-24MR) via serial

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Steven

Hi jdwyer3 and Steven

We also havethe same problem, but our PLC is Mitsubishi Q-series which is not supported by IA OPC server.
MX component provides some dll files. Therefore, we tried to call these dlls from LabVIEW, but all its functions
returns amd requires "viod". I might keep trying to know what do these dlls do, but I still can not know how to
use them exactly. For example, I might know some functions can write value to PLC devices, but I won't be able
to know which I/O of the device I am going to write.

Could someone help me in this issue? Maybe trying to ask Mitsubishi is a better way?

Thanks

Ryan
