Application won't run on certain machine

Solved!

Hi Folks.

A have an application that will not run on a certain machine. I have installed it on a different machine and everything is ok but one in particular dosn't. All machines are windosw 7 64-bit. Now there are older labview apps that are installed and work fine its just recent ones that wont and I am pretty sure there has been no upgrades to this machine.

When compared to the machine that works, when I install the application I have the installer file on a flash drive which I run the setup file from. On the dodgy machine I cannot run the setup file directly from the flash drive, I must copy the folder over. I then run the setup and installation procedure seems to work ok cut when I click on the icon the application does not open.

i am assuming this is an issue with the installer on the target machine. Anyone have any ideas or what I could check?

Thanks,

Mark.

What is the "installer" installing?  You mention that the machines have various versions of LabVIEW installed, which probably means they have various versions of the LabVIEW Run Time Engine installed, and may have various versions of LabVIEW Drivers installed.  Your application may have particular requirements which may or may not be met by the "installer" you are using.

Without knowing a whole lot more, it is difficult to say what is wrong.

I have just tweaked them a little bit so no additional drivers should be required. Its just a basic application that runs another tool and stores some images. They wont even open up when clicked on

As it turns out the anti-virus was the issue. When I disabled it the program(s) ran fine.
