Application builder fails because VIs are still in memory

When I build an executable using Application Builder for LabVIEW 6.0.2 I sometimes get the message "The following VIs are still in memory and need to be closed before continuing", although I have closed all VIs related to the executable and the only VI open is an empty one. The only solution I find is to close LabVIEW and restart it. Is there a simple solution.

Hi TSST
I also have experienced this problem. And closing LV seems to be the only way for doing this. I did not find anything more elegant 😞

Sometimes a VI can stay on the clipboard after a copy-paste operation. When this happens, the build will fail. Open the hierarchy window and you will see if there is a VI in the clipboard. To clear the clipboard, just select a piece of text and copy it to the clipboard.
Also if you have designed a VI that stay running with its panel closed, it will prevent the build. Again the hierarchy window will expose the culprit.

Follow the attached link to an article I wrote.

It details how to solve this problem.

Its not simple until you get used to doing in this way.
