We have LV Full Development System 2009 Sp1 and have been trialing the FPGA+RT modules. We have a valid license for these modules, however apparently app builder doesnt come with the version we have of LV and now our App Builder License has expired. Which is fine, however we can no longer build our RT App which we do have a license for??
Why is the App Builder required to build/deploy the RT?
We have had several issues with licencing and labview so this could be down to that, but how do i fix it? or is App builder genuinly required to deploy RT Module built apps to the cRIO?
Any Ideas?

Hi Matma,
You are correct in that the Application Builder is not included with the LV Full Development System. It is only included with the Professional Development System or in the NI Developer Suite, as is shown in this link. As you are probably already aware, the Application Builder is also available as an add-on for both the Full Development System and Base Development System.
The bad news is that the Application Builder is required in order to create a RT EXE. Depending on your application and its requirements though, it may be that you can overcome the need to create an RT EXE by creating a startup RT VI which will deploy when the LabVIEW Real-Time target boots up. For more information on how to do this, see this link and for a comparison between a RT VI and an RT EXE on an RT system, see this link.
I hope this helps,
