Announcing the LabVIEW 8.6 Platform Beta

Joe Guo wrote: Is there any chance that NI will / can fine tune the applicaiton builder to generate a smaller installer?  I don't mind the runtime engine getting larger, but with 60+MB installer for a simple project, say 1+1=2, is just ... (you put your word here).
This really has nothing to do with any beta....

If you think you have a product suggestion, please submit it at the NI Product Suggestion Center

(Personally, I never include a runtime with an installer distributed over the net and have the user download and install the runtime from NI directly. If you distribution is burned on a CD, 60MB+ is peanuts and you can include the runtime. We are no longer is the era of floppy disks. You can buy a 1GB memory stick for under $10 these days. :D)

Discussion regarding the beta should be contained to the beta board. You should read the relevant announcements there before posting.

Hello,

I am not sure of doing right.
I Have a PCI6251 DAQ card and I am wondering how to best use the DIO ports, I may need a kind of tutorial,
I am not sure to understand the difference between PO PFI/P1 PFI/P2 RTSI, etc ...
Now my ail is to generate a 10 Hz signal like an edge with a good precision (is the best 50 ppm of 100 ms then, or can it be better ?) and be able to interrupt it.

Thank for your help

pdupre:

Please post to the Labview board.  To answer your question, search the examples for DIO and you will see several vi's that could help you.
