Agilent E5810A GPIB Gateway: works from web interface but not LabVIEW

I have an old Anritsu bit error transmitter and receiver on an Agilent gateway, and also an Agilent signal generator.  I can control the signal generator from either LabVIEW for directly through the gateway's web page.  I can control and status the Anritsu from the gateway's web page, but attempts to use VISA Open VISA Write VISA Read VISA Close with the Anritsu time out.  Unfortunately I don't have a GPIB analyzer to see if there is a difference in the bus signals.  Any previous encounters with this behavior?

Hi Chatwin,

While I can't say I'm familiar with Anritsu bit error transmitters, which model are you attempting to use?  You may want to check Ni.com/idnet and see if there are any drivers available for your specific model.  Hope this helps!
