Adding a picture

Sorry, I am brand new to labview and trying to add a basic picture to
my form and then move it across the screen. I haven't been able to
figure out how to add a picture so any help on this subject would be
much appreciated.

Could you explain what you mean by form? This is not a known LabVIEW term. (... add a basic picture to my form ...).
  1. Do you want to display a picture in a picture indicator?
  2. Do you want to add a background picture to the pront panel?
  3. Do you want to customize a control (button, slider, etc) with a picture?
  4. ???

Hello,

You can move the position of front panel objects in LabVIEW, so if you put a picture in an object, you can simply move the object.  A picture control will allow you to input and modify a picture, afterwhich you could change the origin so that the picture moves within the picture control.  Of course, you could always move the whole picture control as well.  I have attached a VI which shows both methods - it is a modified version of an example program.  Move the sliders and you'll see the idea - one set of vertical/horizontal sliders moves the picture within the control, and the other set moves the entire picture control itself.

I hope this helps!
