Just try it. Copy the existing DAQ Assistant and move it outside the loop. Wire the Signal output to the shift register. I don't know what else you can do unless you start to do some real porgramming and get rid of the Express VIs.
The Append Signals would have to be changed internally. That is probably not for the beginner.
