ActiveX question

Hi all,

I made a VI with the mscalendar ActiveX control and I have two questions.

1. When I install my VI on a machine who doesn't have Office installed, my
VI doesn't work, (don't find the ActiveX). So how can I install this ActiveX
without Office?

2. My VI must be in french, and it will be preferable to have the french
activex, but where can I found it?

Thanks in advance for your answers

Eric

1. Perhaps copying the activex library and properly registering it will do the trick (I think there's some kind of registering utility under windows).

2. I suppose that you can find it in french office.

Good luck

To install the ActiveX, you not only need to copy the file to the correct location, but also need to register the ActiveX control. For this, I advice to switch to InstallShield (ie we use installshield Express), which can take care of this.
Also, you might not legally be allowed to distribute this activeX control. It might not be freely distributable. Check that, before you distribute this!!
I would advice to have the user/customer install his version of Office, and assume that the control is already installed. Just to avoid legal issues....

If you need more help on the Installshield issue, let me know. Have no experience with Labview 6 though. Working on that....
Good luck, Oskar
