ActiveX automation open returns "Not enough storage is available to complete this operation."

I'm trying to call the software that comes with a testing instrument. The program supposedly can act as an activeX server. So I use automation open in labview to call it. I could see the program launched, but then it closed quickly. The error returned by the automation open was "Not enough storage is available to complete this operation." Is this because I don't have enough RAM (64 meg) to perform this operation? How come this program could be launched with no problems using Visual Basic?

The new NI Office toolkit uses ActiveX and I ran into the same error message and odd behavior recently. The problem that I had was regarding MS Excel and I have 128 MB RAM on my computer.

I was calling several Excel VIs at a time. What I ended up doing is changing the way my program calls these VIs and ensuring that only one VI is called at a time by wiring the Error Clusters together to create data dependencies.
