Acquisition from Multiple DAQ Device using DAQmx

Hi,

I have 2 Multifunction daq devices and want to perform acquisition (using DAQmx Vi's)from both these devices.

Can i use a single DAQmx Create virtual Channel.vi and give channel string as "Dev0/ai0, Dev1/ai0:3ai0:3ev1/ai0:3" and continue my acquistion..

(Note:I have got 1 card installed in my PC and the for other i'm creating a simulated Device..)

Kndly let me know on this...

Hi Murali,

You cannot configure and read from two devices by using a single create virtual channel VI,

You need to have two parallel Create virtual channel and DAQ mx read VI's to read from each device.

You can synchronise both the cards to acquirie in sync.

Look  at any multi card acq example VI's to get an idea on how to do this
