What is ATE System? When and Where is it used? How it is related to NI LabVIEW and NI Hardwares?

ATE stands for Automatic Test Equipment. It is used when you want to perform tests under computer control. We here use LabVIEW as the programming language that control those tests and often use NI hardware as the test equipment.

3. How does the ATE test the Device Under Test?
4. What are the different types of test that the ATE has to conduct?
5. What is a test specifically? Is it comparing the read value with limits are determining pass or fail?
