I plan to buy a new laptop with AMD Athlon XP processor and I woder if there are compatibility problems regarding AMD processor and LabVIEW 6,1.

No. I own an AMD Athlon XP processor (desktop) and have no problems with any programs at all. So LabVIEW 6.1 will run correctly. I worked with LabVIEW 6.0 and 5.1 without problems as well on this processor.
