AFM with FPGA

Hi All,

I am working on a program for an Atomic Force Microscope system. The program is made under LabVIEW 2012 sp1 on a NI PXIe - 1073 system with an NI PXI-7851r board.

This code has to do the acquisition part, move the scanner on X and Y, and has to do the feedback on Z (a PID basically).

For the scan part, one axis has to move faster than the other. The idea is to go from -X to +X, than move the Y axis. Also, the speed must be controlled by the user. Any idea about how to implement this on a FPGA?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Alexjdr,

Below are some useful resources for getting started with LabVIEW FPGA and an R series card:

The LabVIEW Shipping examples may also provide a good starting point (Help >> Find Examples… >> Hardware Input and Output >> R Series).
