Has anyone developed any code to control Analog Devices AD5232 Digital Potentiometer through a USB port? Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I don't know of such code, but do you know if the instrument is in the USBTMC class? If so you can use VISA to communicate with it in a message-based manner. Also, you may want to contact the manufacturer to see if they have any code they can give you from their development/testing internally!

Repost if you have further questions!

Thank you,

JLS

Hi Bullet,

........have used Analog Devices Digital Pot's and controlled via LPT.
Find attached a small vi for AD5207. You will get an impression, how
to communicate with such a device .......... change it for your needs.

Hope this helps ......

Werner,
I tried to ping you a few days ago. You seem to have a lot of experience in this area. I have the 5207 stuff from a previous posting. Is there a private messaging option here?

The code posted was modified to accommodate a 24 bit word clocked in on the parallel port. Thanks for all the responses.
