Is it possible to plot a 3D surface graph using the same color map that is used on an intensity graph in the same vi?

Yes!

See the code in this thread where I demonstrated how to define color ramps for the 3d graph. THe tricky parts are converting LV color to CW color and making sure your values are acending and unique. Here is a preview.
