34401A parallel trigger

Hi!

I am trying to do a parallel trigger with this device, and have only had error beeps from the device. The Geting Started.vi works fine, but when I try and use a 488.2 GPIB function (parallel trigger) ,the vi does not work at all. What is the best way to use 488.2 parallel trigger with this device? (34401A Multimeter)

 It would be helpful if you would post the vi or a .png of the vi you are working on.

 I am guessing that you are using a low level 488.2 subvi for triggering when you might not need to. The instrument driver contains vi's for triggering the instrument. If you look under Instrument I/O>>Instr Drivers>>Agilent 34401>>Data>>Low Level>>Send Software Trigger and turn on the context help there is a pretty good description of how to set up the triggering for this device.
