After installing the community edition, I am stuck here:
The license manager does not list the community edition, just "LabVIEW 2023 Q1"
This is something that has to "just work"!
Also the installer should only list items that are actually part of the community edition. Does it?

When trying to activate from the license manager, I get this overwhelming list (Base, Debug, Full, etc. etc.) and it still does not activate!:

I apologize that the UI is confusing. I've passed that feedback to the NI License Manager team.
Can please try starting the Community Edition download again, making sure that you're logged in with the same email address that you're using for activation? You don't need to download completely; just starting the download should trigger adding the entitlement to your account.
The activation is working for others, so I'm hoping this will get it working for you. If not, I'll contact you individually so we can have someone look at your ni.com account.

Thanks, I have only one NI account and I don't think you can even download anything without logging in first.
I tried to logout/login on the NI page, but that's impossible unless we make the browser window wide:
Once we make the window wide, clicking on CA gives "logout" at the bottom.
(Yes, the hamburger menu does have a link to the account, but somehow I could not find a logout option)
So logged out and back in in the browser, the also do the same on the activation screen and it did not help.
(and if I logout on the activation screen and click on create account in the upper right, I get to a page partially in French. Strange, but probably unrelated to the current issue)
If I look at my NI products profile, the community edition is listed:

So I cloned the VM, reset the windows installation, logged into NI and downloaded the community edition.
Mounted the iso and installed the bare minimum (only LabVIEW and VI analyzer).
At the activation window I successfully logged into the same NI account.
---> Still exactly the same problem! No licenses found.
Even if I expand LabVIEW 2024Q1 in the license manager and right-click only the community edition. and select "activate";
Obviously I need more help....

Hey, just starting a 2023Q3 download worked to trigger the 2024Q1 license!
Finally!
Somebody need to fix these things.

I'm glad that there's a workaround (i.e., downloading 2023 Q3), but we'll work on getting the 2024 Q1 download to add/renew the Community Edition entitlement correctly.

I don't want to start a whole string of "me too" replies here, but I have been pulling out my hair for a little over a week now (granted, I have only tried two or three times to resolve this, but still, each time took an hour or more out of day). I was finally successful getting LabVIEW 2024 Q1 Community Edition activated using the method above. It pays off to be determined to succeed!

Bill
