mega2560 not working with Hobyist tool kit

I have programmed my mega2560 with the firmware wizard and when running the example LV reports it cannot open the serial port.

I have selected the correct serial port (used by the mega). any ideas why this would happen appreciated.

 

 Note : I did the same with my UNO and the UNO board is working 100% both LED examples just fine proving the Hobbyist tool in LV is working and py process of programming the firmware on the Arduino is correct I assume there is a firmware issue with the mega2560
