Using a light sensor for an Arduino programme

I am trying to build a project with adafruit tsl2561( https://learn.adafruit.com/tsl2561/arduino-code) light sensor, but I cant get it to work. I don't know how to program it nor read data. Has anyone ever worked with it, or knows how to make a VI with it?
