This is my first time to use LIFA. I am trying to build connection between sparkfun redboard and labview (2012 version). I connect the board and my laptop via a mini-B-usb cable, and I see it shows "COM5" in "device manager -> ports". Then I open NI-MAX to check if the connection is been built and see an error appears on "COM5" in "My system -> Devices and interfaces". I click "open VISA test panel" and get an error "Error opening resource: ASRL5::INSTR. VISA: (HEX 0xBFFF0000) Unknown system error (miscellaneous error)". Could you please tell me how to pinpoint the error and how to resolve it?
