Here I want to recommend an useful tool for embedded develop.The useful tool is coIDE,you can find it on the site:http://www.coocox.org.

It is very easy for freshmen to develop a program as it has much examples very easy to get.And the website is very useful, too.There many useful infomation on the website, so I think it may help you to do a embedded development.
