wt210 driver GPIB to serial modbus

Solved!

Hello,

I working with a yokogawa wt210 digital power meter which only has a serial connection (db25).

I have the labview drivers downloaded and am using a modbus interface to communicate via GPIB.

So, from the wt210 serial to serial port on modbus interface (4899a) from modbus GPIB to pc USB.

Max recognizes the 4899a, but does not see the power meter. Any ideas on how I can use this driver for the powermeter?

Thanks

That makes no sense. If you have a normal RS-232 connection, use a cheap USB-RS232 converter. Where did you get information that the instrument uses modbus? The driver has support for serial according to the download page.

Even if it was really modbus, it would not appear in MAX. No serial instruments are ever listed in MAX.

Hi,

You can use the RS-232 interface of the WT210 or, if it is installed on the instrument, the GPIB interface.

Like Dennis said NO MODBUS.

Download the examples from the Yokogawa site and read the manual of the instrument.
