"unable to access ni-488.2m driver for windows 95 (gpibmngr.dll)"

I was developing an application which is based on a known, working GPIB-interfaced framework and "out-of-the-blue" I received the aforementioned error messagebox. Subsequent to the msg the gpibmngr.dll is nowhere to be found on my system. My question is: 1) do I need to remove and reinstall the NI directory and its environment or can I just download the newest drivers? I.S. is required by the company to perform all software installs and modifications so I want to expedite the process as much as I can.

Thanks,
williamdor

There's a registry key:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices\NI4882MDosSupportEXE" that runs "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\GPIBDOS.EXE". Running this exe can cause this error. Try removing this key.
