no data recieve

I change a VI to have only a part who is able only to read Data from a serial port, and if I recieve ^Q the VI should stopp, the probleme is that my VI dont recieve anything I have 2 serial port in my computer and I sent ^Q but my VI dont recieve anything.

where are the problem.

Hi cybername,

you close your visa resource in your while loop, so it will be closed in the first iteration. Move the close block to outside the loop.

I connect com1 to my VI and my programm sending at port com2

I am using Digicom to send

I have another VI to write and I have no problem with it and Digicom can reab what I sent

How could you know the program does not receive anything? You don't have anything in the LabVIEW program to show what might be read? Put an indicator on the VISA Read output. What is the purpose of the '^' character. I hope you don't expect that to be the CTRL character.

my VI is a loop it will go to ende when it recieve ^Q I sent ^Q with my programm Digicom and the loop dont stop

I just test it and I see (read byte) that my VI is recieving 1 byte but when I send ^Q my loop dont stop

You are typing the keyboard character '^' (above the 6) and the keyboard character 'Q'? That should be two bytes. You should be keeping the received data in a shift register and appending new data to the old. Do the comparison to the data in the shift register.
