frequency analysis

Hello,

I am controlling two devices a Signal Generator(Marconi_2024) and a Power Meter(NRVD R&S) through Labview ,

the thing is to analyse the results power (y axis) to differenet frequencies (x axis) I take from the generator

is there any tutorial how to do that. I dont want FFT frequency analysis just to configure the results of  y=f(x). Yet I have not succed to communicate both devices VI's in labview, I take the results of each separately.

I will really apreciate a help.

Do you have the instrument drivers for both instruments?
or are you searching for these?

try national instruments instrument driver search first and if an IVI and a LabVIEW driver both exist
choose the native LabVIEW driver.

I downloaded the drivers and now I do the measurements automatically in labview, but I dont know how can I combine this to VI s?

How would you do this in another language ?

Start with a new (empty) vi
From here call your now working vi's that in this way become subvi's just as yo call your driver vi's.

You will notice that your now working vi's need parameters, so you have to go to the place (on the frontpanel) where the icon resides
and right click to show the connector, and with the wire tool click on the connector and on the corresponding control or indicator.

you can then use these connectors fro our new main vi to submit parameters.

In introductory coarse would help you much more.....
