controlling gpib instrument using matlab

i have to do the communication between matlab and a spectral analyser via GPIB. i need commands to display on the pc, to store and print out.

it's a spectrum analyser FSP40 from rohde and schwarz. my pc is under windows. i have to use GUI of matlab7.
i'm studying how gui works. i have to display many values of E, in fonction of bandwidth, video bandwidth, from a frequency to an another. but i don't know the langage. i would want to know, the "while....loop", how to display a word....
i studied VB and i hope, it will be the same thing.

If the problem is the matlab langage I can not help you and your are not on the correct Web site.
