Hello.
Thank you for posting to the NI Discussion Forums.
I am a bit confused as to the exact direction of your question, so I have a few questions for you.
My first thought is that you may wish to connect your SCXI-1161 directly to a PXI Chassis backplane by some sort of adapter that will change the SCXI-1161 backplane connector into something compliant with the PXI backplane connector. Is this a correct synopsys? If this is your question, unfortunately, we do not provide an adapter of this kind. If you have both SCXI and PXI instruments that you wish to utilize, I would instead recommend a combo chassis (either the PXI-1052 or the PXI-1050) to fulfill your application needs.
My second thought is that maybe you have a PXI Chassis and an SCXI Chassis and you want them to be able to communicate with each other. Is this correct? If so, what signals do you wish to share between the chassis? Are you routing the switches output to a PXI-DMM? A detailed explanation of your entire system would be greatly appreciated.
Let me know and I will be happy to help further!
