a communicationinterface problem

HI

I created an .exe  comm RS232  interface (GUI) for my client in japan

on the 8.5.1 version

i sent him the LabVIEW85RuntimeEngineFull.exe too.

the installation passed OK

and the GUI opened OK and the comm was found.

but the transmission failed and no RX /TX  data was exhibit on screen

when client checked the HW and through hyper terminal SW the comm. from PC-unit operated normally

The EXE was built whith supprtion Japanize

what is the problem in your opinion?

Hi Yoni,

Since your code is also dependent on the NI-VISA driver for the serial communication, could you also verify that he has the NI-VISA driver installed as well?

Hi Yoni,

If you've written your code with VISA 4.4.1, then absolutely, that Run-Time engine (driver subset) will work. Otherwise, the latest version of the VISA Run-Time is 5.0.3.
