Visa read error

 I am controlling an actuator (newport TRA25, SMC100 controller) through the serial port. I keep getting the error -107380729 which in occurs from a VISA read procedure. Sometimes the error disappears when I go into highlight execution mode and sometimes it appears when I go into this mode. I don't understand why. I posted the portmon output for the two cases

The difference is at the IRP_MJ_READ command near the end where for the correct case "1TS00000A.." is read while for the other "." appears.

 Any ideas for what the problem is?

That's not a valid error code. Could you double check that and attach the VI you have written?
