VISA Open problem

Hi,

I am trying to control Agilent 34401A multimeter through LabVIEW. When I use 'Measurement and Automation Explorer', I can communicate with the instrument. But, When I use 'VISA read' block, I dont see any visa resource. Please some one let me know where the problem is?

If you simply right click on an instrument in MAX and select Communicate with Instrument, then you are not using VISA. A VISA Resource Name control or constant should have a list of available resources when you click the little arrow on the right side. Do you see anything there? If not, are you sure you have NI-VISA installed? It would be listed in the software section of MAX.
