Hello,

Just to make sure I understand your question. When you query your GPIB instrument, you get the expected data, but you get an unwanted character at the end. Correct? You mention that this happens on only one computer. Is there a difference between the computer it works on and the computer with the problem? Are you running the same program with the same GPIB board and instruments? If you try communicating in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX), do you still see this problem? Make sure to check your cable connections to verify they are tight. I am just trying to see if we can narrow down the problem, and then try to solve it from there. Thanks!

Hi,

Could you please attach NI-Spy captures of the computer with the problem, and one from the computer that works. See this link for information on getting a good Spy capture. Thanks!
