USB RAW device

Hello,

I had some questions regarding communication with a USB Raw Device, and this is my first time trying to do this. Anyways,  I have installed the driver using the instrument  driver wirzard, and I can technically communicate with my device through VISA interactive control and get some information with property node. The fields such as "request", "request type", "index", have been configured so I do not get any errors. However, I’m unable to get any information from the device with ‘VISA USB control in’ or ‘VISA usb control out’.  I’ve tried to use some commands from the property node with visa interractive control tab interface I/O which complete successfully but the read does not get any response.

I do not understand how property node and VISA interactive control works but interface I/O tab of VISA interactive control has no affect. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Michael,

USB RAW communication requires that you be very familiar with your device as communication is device specific, but you can find a LabVIEW example here that might be helpful. You can also search ni.com/support for "USB RAW", and narrow your results to Example code for some more examples. Hope this is helpful. Goodluck!
