Serial Write & Read.VI configure port error

On the Windows XP partition of my PC I can run the VI examples that use the serial COM ports. On the Suse/Linux partition however, most of the VI's run well, except those with serial ports, such as "Basic 2 Port Serial Write and Read.VI". They stop with the message: Error -1073807202 occurred at Property Node in VISA Configure Serial Port... The error code is undefined..."

The error code means that VISA is not installed.

I had the same problem and after intalling the VISA driver on my PC the problem was resolved. Try it .
