SEAR:STAT ON doesn't work

Hello everyone,

I'm currently using NI Max in order to send commands to an oscilloscope Rohde&Schwartz RTM2034.

I'm trying to find automatically the maximum amplitude of a signal.

Just to begin, we need to turn on search using the following command :

SEAR:STAT ON 

However I'm getting the following error : 

Write Operation (SEAR:STAT\sON)
Error

VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF0000)

I'm using a USB serial communication.

Any help will be appreciated.

I find out that the oscilloscope is not properly connected. After reconnecting it the command was accepted.
