SCB-68 : Instrument Control

I have a SCB-68 E-Series device with a PCI interface.
I guess the cable connecting them is  GPIB.
I want to know if there is a document which details how to control the unit using GPIB SCIPI commands?

My goal is to communicate & control the device from a C# application.

Thanks
Rama

You are very confused. The SCB-68 is nothing more than a terminal block. It is used with a data acquisition card. The cable connecting them is nothing like a GPIB cable and an E-Series (or any other DAQ board) cannot be used as a GPIB controller. If you want a pci board for GPIB control, look at buying a PCI-GPIB board.

An E Series DAQ device can be connected to a SCB-68.  The cable to connect them is not a GPIB cable.  If you want to program in C# and control the E Series device you can do this if you install DAQmx and DAQmx support for .net 1.1 framework.  Both these are available in the NI-DAQmx driver which you can download from our web site.

If you would like more information on programming in C# and using DAQmx please see the following KB:

You will not be able to send GPIB commands with a E Series DAQ device.
