I can't find any existing VIs for this Spirent product. Does anyone know of one? If not, is there sample code out there that works and isn't password protected for "generic" RS-232 communications. i.e., a "console"?
Hello NetEngin, A quick search on IDNet did not show any drivers for Spirent instruments. I recommend that you look through the user and programming manuals for your instrument and get some of the simple commands working in MAX. It is vital to have all of the serial config setting correct before you concern yourself with more advanced applications. There are some great development tools and resources on IDNet that would be worth taking a look at. It also might be worth your time to contact the instrument's manufacturer to see if they have any software to communicate with the instrument.
Thanks for your suggestions. Spirent have been unhelpful. I'll try IDnet and try getting some things working in MAX. When I get a VI built and working, I'll share it with everyone. Thanks again!
