Solved!

Hello,

The NI website mentionned that XNET interfaces are CAN-FD compliant. Could you confirm to me which are the XNET interfaces compliant with the CAN FD 11898-2:2015 standard ?

Hello SmileBoB,

Supported Devices:

In general, the NI-XNET family of CAN interfaces are designed to be high-performance modules that are easily adaptable to new standards and protocols. Since the CAN FD physical layer is very similar to that of high-speed CAN, all NI-XNET CAN interfaces that support high-speed CAN communication also support CAN FD with bit rates up to 8 Mbit/s.

The list of NI-XNET interfaces that support CAN FD communication is below:

PXI

  • NI PXI-8513/2
  • NI PXI-8513
  • NI PXI-8512/2
  • NI PXI-8512

PCI

  • NI PCI-8513/2
  • NI PCI-8513
  • NI PCI-8512/2
  • NI PCI-8512

CompactDAQ and CompactRIO

  • NI 9862
  • NI High-Speed/FD CAN Transceiver Cable for us with compatible NI CompactDAQ controllers and NI 9860

For NI X-NET 15.0  > http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/588B7A1E9F2419B086257F1D00667F8D?OpenDocument

For NI-XNET 15.5 & 16.0 > allows customers to choose between ISO CAN FD and non-ISO CAN FD in software.
