Modify Alias Instrument on Labview

Without using MAX, it is possible to modify/create an instrument alias on LabVIEW?

The aliases are stored in the visaconf.ini file. On XP, this is in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National Instruments\NIvisa folder. You can use the configuration file functions.
