We are interested in using GPIB-USB controllers under the linux (Red Hat 7.0) operating system. I understand that so far the device is so far only Win compatible. Are there any development plans for a linux driver, or are any resources which would aid in the writing of a driver?
Currently, there is only support in the Linux evironment for TNT4882 based devices such as the PCI-GPIB and the AT-GPIB/TNT. USB support in Linux is still relatively new but National Instruments is looking into future development. National Instruments has no official plans for a release at this time.
