Instrument uptime

Hi!

Anyone know if there is a way to query the uptime/on-time for a Keithley instrument? Or some other way to get this information?

I'm using Keithley 2182A Nanovoltmeter and according to its specification it is only valid after 2.5h warm-up time.

Did you check the devices manual for a command in its (SCPI?) command language, which provides this information ? If there is no such command, you are probably out of luck.

As workaround i can think of a program which polls the instruments state by sending for example  IDN? queries and makes a time stamp when it is up.

Yup I did, no command for that information.
