IVIFGEN FM modulation

HI all,

I am want to create a FM modulation using Agilent 33220A function generator and IVI-C drivers. I send all the commands to the equipment but the value of "peak deviation" is not read by the instrument, always the value 1000KHz appears in its screen.

The others values (amplitude, frecuency, waveform, etc...) are read ok by the instrument.

If I set up the function generator with some values by hand and then a try to set up again with this values using LabView code, the value of "peak desviation" doesn't change.

Are you using the IVI driver from Instrument Driver Network?

Hi,
yes, I'm using this IVI driver. The other functions of the drivers work ok, but this function is not admited by the function generator. An error is not appear at the display of the instrument.

Hello Unai,
       It looks like the FM Extension is supported in the IVI Specific Driver.  Is there an error returned from the IVI FGen VIs?  The IviFGen Close VI is checking for errors, but it would not hurt to add an additional Error Query before the Close.  You should also double check that the values that you are sending are in the acceptable range for the instrument.  Once those are done, if you are still seeing problems, please take a NI-Spy capture of the issue (With IviFGen enabled in the options).
