I'm also trying to connect a scope for the first time, so please bear with me if this question sounds, well, stupid.  Step 2 - choosing a connection - is where I am falling down with my Tektronix TDS 3052B.  I have connected both the scope and my computer to the network, but don't know how to get a connection started.  I have the IP address that the system gave the scope during initialization, but the example files don't seem to have a place to enter that.  Any ideas?

Thanks,

Danielle

Since you are using a different scope, you should really have started a new thread.

First, in MAX add a new TCP/IP resource. Right click on Devices and Interfaces, select Create New>VISA TCP/IP Resource). Once you are successful with that, when you click on the little arrow on the right side of the VISA Resource Name control, pick the TCP/IP resource.
