How can I control power supply by steps

Hi

now i'm going to like it.
please try and try also to understand my changes.
The shiftreg should either be uninitialized (that is also why on i= zero no compare)
or you should use the second input that you get by extending the input to two.
but this is ok

Hi,

I really appreciate your great help. It worked well. There is still one problem that I solved all the day. Unfortunately,I could not correct the first value that comes out. When I initialize the Shift register, it did not work . I have attached the data sheet for your kind consideration.

I request your kind advice .

Hi!

With your kind support, it worked well. I really appreciate your help and kind teaching. It is great ! I have made to save dta as text file ,.

However, it worked for HP only. For all data, I want to get separately as HP and Keithley for 2 columns with multiple rows;instead th eoutput was mixing. It did not work for Keithley also. In order to get the data , I have to wait from the start to the end. Is there any way to get the data  with two columns with mutiple rows and without waiting the whole process.

Thanks in advance.

Sophie

P.S. May I have your Email address ?

Hi Sophie

my email address is made of the following.
my name completely with a dot between first and last name
then after that it is at gmail with its com extension

I'm not writing it here for automatic machines that find email addresses by scanning these forums.
If you find out how to write it I will reply.

About generating a datafile during the test and having multiple columns is not difficult.
Put the data write in the case where you add the data to the shiftregisters and use append data in the file write vi.
play arround with generating one string for each line in the file.
Use format into string with e.g. 3 inputs and test that in a separate vi, to see the result without having to run the data acquisition.

Hi!

I just want to write and express my personally  thanks with Email that your help is very much encouraging.

Regarding to save the data as text file,I did not catch what you mean. Do you want to make me subVI in the case structure ? I just want to save the measurement data from the two meters in separate columns with name headers. In this way, I can save both the magnetic fileld and sample voltage.

regards
Sophie

Hi Sophie

I cleaned the blockdiagram and added a functionality I thought you asked for, but did not test it.
If you find a bug you always can ask, or email.
